Literature Based Mathematics??

I am currently planning to do my Ph.D in Mathematics Education. I want to do my research on Literature Based Mathematics Teaching. Here in India we dont have a curriculum that support this method of teaching mathematics in schools.

i really want indian education to give this method a try. as it is very sucessful abroad.

if anyone of you know any books, journals, sites etc. where i can get the literature, articles, reasearches done on this, please let me know.

your suggestion as what should include in this research is also welcome.

any help will be highly appericiated.

yea its true that literature based mathematics or maths fiction is not recognized in India. But its a great idea if you are planning to do some work in this area. the link below is of a site where you can get ideas, links, books, literature etc. of maths fiction:
