Is this plagiarism?

I wrote an article in Spanish for my Spanish class and had someone go over it. They corrected it. The thing is, mine was not so great to begin with, but with the corrections made it was good. I did all the writing and the ideas and everything was mine, but i had help on some of the grammer and vocab with the article…. is this considered plagerism?

My teacher wants to talk to me because it was so good and i am not the best student. I am worried she might think it was plagerism!

What do you think? I wrote it, but someone corrected it to make it good…. is this bad?

that is called ‘editing’. Plagerism would be if you copied the article that someone else had written. You are NOT in trouble.

This is not plagerism. It would have been if you had copied this directly from something already in print. The other person helped to edit it and together you both produced what sounds like a really good piece of work. You should not be worried.

No it’s not bad at all. The paper has your ideas and your thoughts right..If it’s your original idea then it’s not plagiarism..You got help because you didn’t know how to say in spanish..and if your friend help you with the grammer too, that’s not a problem either…The idea and the thoughts are what matter. So no, no plagiarism was involved..next question

It’s not plagiarism..

Tell your teacher exactly what you said here. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it as long as the words, grammar, etc. were within what you’ve learned so far. You had some one proofread it and they made corrections.

If the corrections make the paper beyond what you should be able to do, then you might have a problem.

No breathe a sigh of relief, having someone edit your paper is not plagiarism . So don’t sweat it just take the honors but give credit where credit is due, can’t hurt.

It depends on the extent of the corrections. If there were a LOT, then you went too far–your teacher isn’t able to assess how well *you* write if a lot was corrected.
