Every language is technical in nature. This is because all languages have grammatical syntax. There are many terms to this, such as “sentence structures”, “punctuation”, “grammar” etc. All these enable a student to construct a good sentence. However, if an educationist were to emphasise 100% on this, the lesson is going to be downright boring. Because technical syllabus are more often than not, rather mundane. Think computer programming codes such as Java, HTML and the now defunct PASCAL.

However, if we are able to include artistic elements to a lesson, it becomes interesting. This is where creativity and innovation comes in. Just think of how computer programmers integrate artistic elements such as image editing and layout design when coming up with websites. This is also how computer programmers make the field of computing interesting, thus turning technical jargons into street lingo.

Similarly, if educationists are able to blend art and science together, it is highly probable that they will be able to get a very participative class. This is because the educationists are engaged with the students in the lesson.

sure. it requires the best skill and ways of teaching ,put in your words as art,to teach effectively.i am a teacher,of both English and Tamil.though it is considered that it does not require any special skill in teaching languages. , I have earned considerable appreciation, for my methods and ways of teaching, the which I chartered,by my own efforts and experiments..my students enjoy even the grammar classes, which normally disliked by most of them.

You are who you are and that part of teaching is art. You take that art combine it with the skills that help you help others and you get the perfect marriage of art and skill.

I think so, because it requires skill to be creative and form fun activities to teach through TPR etc… One is responsible for finding illustrative techniques that work so that students have an easier time learning a second language.
