I REALLY REALLY NEED HElP!!!!?
OK , so last year my school had uniform and it still does. The top has to be a polo and the colors royal blue , gold , and white. So me and my friends would wear navy blue and yellow shirts from a&f and hollister etc. with an undershirt , and sometimes the shirts would button all the way down to our cleavege and we would cover that COMPLETELY with an undershirt. The adminestrators never said anything about this last year therefor we bought the same type of clothes in the summer and are wearing them now problem is there sating know its a violation to the drees code and are underdhirts are LANGERIE?! That really aggarveted me because we are all good students with honor/gifted classes and there tryng to give us a violation for a slight difference in color , were there are kidds that pass right by them high and drunk with pants below there asss HOW can i protest this in an effective way without getting a violation or worse?? and make an effective statement suggestions Please and advice.

The most effective way would be to go back to the dress code itself and point out how you are, in fact, not doing anything not permitted in it. The school adopted the dress code for a reason. Usually it is because they don’t want you to be able to be “cooler” than others because you can afford to buy trendier clothes. It sets up competition which hurts students and their parents. Also, they want the focus off the clothing and onto the academics. So if you start arguing that the dress code is unfair, you will go nowhere. If you argue that your clothing was accepted last year as abiding by the rules, and that it would create an economic hardship for you by making you buy new clothes, they may let you get away with the shirts for this year. You will probably not get them to budge on having your underwear showing, and if your shirts can’t be buttoned up without that, you will probably still need to buy new shirts, but the slight color variation may get a pass for the year.
I would guess, though, that what your protest would inspire would be a backlash for future students. Instead of just telling them what colors to get, they will now be told where they have to buy, which brand, etc. The problem is that you are doing exactly what they were trying to avoid by instituting a uniform, which is turning it into a fashion statement. So unless you are prepared for much stricter rules next year, I would leave it alone.

What are you saying Dear??? It’s not a problem. You go to school for study not to see that how you will look like in your school dress. Plz I suggest you don’t waste your precious time in this stage. Plz Dear don’t mind on my suggestion, it’s my feeling that I share with you. Ok Bye & GOOD LUCK for your future.

I am assuming you go to a private school, so you really cant protest this. Other than pointing out others violations, which make you look like a jerk.

Have your parents address the issue since this is how you have dressed in the past, it really shouldn’t be an issue this year unless there is a new administration.
