That shouldn’t be too difficult . Most teachers would be willing to teach on a black piano as well as any other color .

The theoretical implications of the various spellings of the notes *usually* dictate that spelling. However, often those rules are broken for the convenience of the player. To scorn ALL the rules, and notate everything is a simplified manner, would betray the theoretical foundation of the piece – even though we do find find those exceptions periodically, like re-spelling a key-change that *would* be in the key of Fb (perhaps moving from Ab major) – then most composers would re-spell it all in E major. Some don’t – they stick to their guns, no matter what. BTW – classical works such as Clair de Lune are not called *songs*, except by students an amateurs.

try this link and then see what you can find. do be warned you may be deemed rascist by some people for requesting someone black to do the job but at the end of the day its your choice and do you know something? i think black people have soul and i imagine they are great music teachers too!

i hope you find the teacher you are looking for – try phone book search and try online too. good luck and also i must say its good to hear of people teaching their children the good old stuff – not often you hear children playing piano nowadays. if i could afford it for my son, he’d have the option too!
