Help me think of a craft idea?

I have to come up with a craft to help teach children “patience”….any thoughts? I would like something somewhat simple, but really any ideas would be great!

It takes patience to let paint or glue dry. Make a plaster of paris plaque let it dry and paint it. Taking turns also needs patience. Gluing together craft sticks for projects like boxes with a lid and then modge podge a torn piece of paper with the words “Patience is Golden” on the top might work.

Crocheting or knitting take a bit of patience and time. You can also try weaving. Almost anything involving patterns is both engaging and difficult enough to teach patience. Knot tying is another craft that takes practice and time.

By accident I discovered that having children (mine were in fourth grader) spell words using ABC pasta requires a lot more patience than I expected.

I used to have them do their spelling words…but it takes them so long to do one that I have them just pick the word they are most concerned about learning.

I dump the pasta out on a paper plate so they can dig through it. I provide them with small squares of dark color construction paper and a bottle of Elmer’s glue.

Hope this helps!
