Do you need a license to teach in Ohio charter schools?
My wife has a job interview coming up for a charter school…even though she has had her degree in education for some time, she still hasn’t passed the Praxis PLT test which is the last hurdle she needs to get over to get her Ohio Teaching License…..is there any chance she could still get this job without having a license, or is it most likely not going to happen?

Go to the state website for teaching. Most schools need “Highly Qualified Teachers” thanks to NCLB. Here is the link for teaching in Ohio.

It is possible but your wife should concentrate on studying to obtain certification.
Some states have emergency licenses. Sometimes they make exceptions for hard to fill positions. Sometimes temporary licenses are given for a short period of time. They may also be exceptions for charter and private schools.
Your wife is at a disadvantage in obtaining any position and in salary.
To find out the definitive answer to your question you can contact either the school district in which the charter school is located, your state education department or the charter school itself.
Good luck.
