Do non fiction texts such as articles have an identifiable conflict and resolution?

Can students be asked to identify conflict and resolution in a non-fictional article?

Of course non fiction texts have identifiable conflict and resolution. Non fiction means that is truth based and not made up. From that, a student can derive what conflict is present and what possible solution can overcome the conflict. Students should be able to distinguish any conflict in the reading, if it exists, and determine a resolution. Certainly, the students can be asked to do this task.

Yes, but there are other non-fiction texts such as editorials, magazine articles, instruction handbooks that do not have such conflicts.
