A boy living in an extremely structured society where everyone is happy, is chosen to become the next person to inherit the “memories” of when the world was still at war, had sickness, etc. No one else knows about these times except him and the giver. With the memories he can’t stand the society he was born in so he leaves.

actually cammie nobody’s lazy, im on a cyberschooled computer and i cant get the book unless i buy it, and unfortunatley im to young to buy it
