I personally prefer high school because I get to teach the harder material. I find it more interesting, so I can do a better job of making it interesting for students. My sister is a kindergarten teacher. She was an okay student when she was in school and didn’t feel like she could be good enough in one subject to teach it in high school, but she loves little kids, and at least she is sure she knows more about the subject than they do.
How do I like it? Most of the time I love it. There are some days when nothing seems to go right or when a class disappoints you, but overall I enjoy my job and can’t think of anything else I would rather do.
If you are thinking about teaching, see if you can get some experience tutoring younger students. That will help you see if you really enjoy it and maybe help you decide what age range you prefer working with.
I prefer high school kids, better music, a bit more mature and responsible,…
I have been teaching 12 years in california, and make nearly $70,000 a year.
remember, your wages are influenced by 2 things;
1. how long have you been teaching
2. what college degree do you have and how many classes have you taken past that degree. For example; a masters degree gets paid more than a bachelors degree.
if you are thinking of teaching but are not passionate about helping young people, then find a different career path.
The teachers I remember to this day were passionate, and wanted me to succeed!
