Any ideas for a learning activity for preschoolers?
Any ideas for a preschool learning activity?
I’m taking Early Childhood Education and the preschoolers start their first day Thursday at my high school. I need a teaching activity by Friday. We’re teaching them the Alphabet and the letter this week is “L”. I need some sort of writing activity that I can teach to the children myself.
Have any ideas? I’ve been searching everywhere on preschool sites.

Well, a writing activty in preschool isn’t really developmentally appropriate, but you could have the student practice writing the letter L in shaving cream on peices of wax paper. It’s fun! After that, they can practice on actual paper. Or, they could decorate the letter L (if you made it in a block letter).
To teach the sound that the letter L makes have a bunch of pictures of objects. Go through each one saying the word and have the students decide if the beginning sound belongs to the letter L or not.
Also, if there are students that have names that start with the letter L see if the students can find out who!
