When transfering from a university in Canada to a University in the US, do you have to take the SATS?

I would like to transfer to Smith College but I have not taken the SAT’s as they are not required by any Canadian university. Has anybody here been on the same boat? Thanks a lot.

Not necessarily would you need to take the SAT test if you’re already into your studies and depending upon your current GPA. Call Smith’s admissions office and ask. I didn’t take SATs at all and crawled through the Massachusetts educational system based upon my GPA….and eventually gained my master’s degree without taking the SATs from the California State University system. Best bet? Call Smith. Chances are, if your GPA is okay, you’re all set to go and Smith loves to recruit out of state, let alone out of country. Good luck! By the way? Some universities in Canada DO require SAT scores…..at least from applicants from the States. Again…. call the school !!!

Yes most colleges in the US will require you to take the SAT’s or the ACT’s (the easier version of the SAT’s)

But don’t worry, the SAT’s and the ACT’s aren’t hard tests, the questions just get really tiring and boring. 🙂
