This would depend upon what State you wish to study in.

The Federal Minimum wage is currently $5.85 an hour. This is the pay for say working at fast food restaurant or bagging groceries. Some states do have a higher minimum wage. Another factor would be your age. Some states, if you are of highschool age limit the number of hours, and timeline of when a student in school can work. If you are of college age, then there is no limitation on how many days, hours ect you can work. Would recommend you search Labor Laws for the particular state you will be living in, to find out what specifics they have. Good luck.

Irrespective of what Kevin (above me) said, as an international student studying in the United States you are only able to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and this work must be done on campus.

So you are not able to work in a bar or at a fast food restaurant for example.

You will be paid the state minimum wage.
