Studying Law in America?

I’m a non-law graduate in the UK, with a decent 2.1 degree in English Literature and I’d like to study Law in America. I am aware that in order to study Law in the UK I would need to study the law conversion course, and I was wondering what the procedure is in America, ie. do they have a similar course of study for non-law graduates. It’d be great to get some information on the matter.

Americans do not do undergraduate degrees in law. They do a bachelor’s degree in more or less any subject, with a few specific courses required along the way. You’d be in the same boat as all the other applicants to American law schools. A decent 2.1 will probably not get you into the upper tier law schools, but it would definitely get you admitted some places. You will also have to take a standardized test called the LSAT.
