Christmas day isn’t what it seems when you really get to know why it’s such an important holiday. There is much more to it then Santa Claus and presents, it is a time for family and friends to join together to find peace and harmony with one another. Giving is part of the tradition of Christmas, It’s not what you get it’s what you give. During Christmas day my friends and family are with me and we talk about why we have Christmas and why we should be thankful for what we have. I realize some are more fortunate then me and they can’t even celebrate with a family they don’t even have. Part of the Christmas tradition is my religion…….. something like that maybe?!

How about a greedy boy who has to spend his Christmas working at a homeless shelter for the needy and thinks it’s stupid. Then he finds a friend at the shelter and they walk home together because his mother says the homeless person can stay with them. Then a few days later the greedy boy tells the person he hates them. So now the homeless person goes back to the shelter and a couple hours later they get a phone call from the shelter asking if they have seen the person, then they find out soon that night that the homeless person had been killed by a car. The boy regrets what he said and so he sells all of his baseball card collection he’s had since he was 3 and donates the money to the shelter, also he volunteers every Christmas to the homeless from then on to serve a Christmas dinner and hand out presents.

Here are several ideas…

A man is over seas in a foreign country while at war with another nation. He is down on his luck, several of his friends have died, . Christmas is closing in and he is told he wont be shiped home to be with his family. This is the last straw.. he is close to comiting suicide. Finally Christmas days comes. He loads his handgun and starts walking from his tent to the outhouse. On the way there, all he is thinking about is how much his life sucks right now. He turns the corner of the building. On the other side he sees his family waiting for him at the main gate. He wife, son, daughter, and new baby. He runs to them and they go to the mess hall and enjoy a wonderful christmas dinner.
