How can I find out the day a certain date fell on?
As in the day of the week, like ie::
Jan 8, 1987
July 19,1956

Look up “perpetual calendar” on Google (link below), or look up “calendar” in an encyclopedia. You can easily find a table that shows what calendar applies to what year, which in turn will tell you what days of the week past (or even future) dates fall on.
Also, one of the Google results goes to a page where you can enter a year and generate the calendar for that year. Hope that helps!
