hi, i am 15 years old and am looking for a homeschool program. i live in florida. it could be an online homeschool or an actual homeschool. i would like someone who had been thru homeschool and can tell me some stuff sbout it and weather colleges like it. thanks

Florida is very friendly toward homeschooling. Find a local homeschooling group and find out when they meet or talk to one of the leaders. There is an annual convention with all kinds of ideas, vendors and speakers. But start with a local support group — some churches have homeschooling families in them and you will be able to get in touch with someone that way.

If you want to actually homeschool, its done at home, not at a school. Your parents buy the books and curricular materials, do all the grading, issue the credits, diplomas and transcripts. Go to http://www.rainbowresource.com for materials.
If you need info on the laws in Florida see http://www.hslda.org click “In Your State”, choose Florida, Click on “Laws how to homeschool legally in Florida.
If want you want is a Public school at home program (which is legally not the same thing as homeschooling) go to: http://www.flva.org unfortunately I think they only go to the 8th grade, but I could be wrong.
