6th: 11-12 (6th is sometimes also considered middle school)

Middle School

7th: 12-13

8th: 13-14

High School

9th: 14-15

10th: 15-16

11th: 16-17

12th:17-18 (graduate school at 12th grade)

Between ages 4-5 is usually preschool, 5-6 is usually kindergarten, 6-7 first grade, 7-8 second grade, 8-9 third grade, 9-10 fourth grade, 10-11 fifth grade, 11-12 sixth grade, 12-13 seventh grade, 13-14 eighth grade, 14-15 ninth grade, 15-16 tenth grade, 16-17 eleventh grade, 17-18 twelfth grade. That’s usually how the ages work, unless you were held back or something. Anyways, preschool through fifth grade where I came from was elementary, sixth through eighth was middle school, ninth was at the freshman high school, and tenth through twelfth was the high school. It could be different where you’re moving to though, I’m just giving you a general overview. I don’t really remember how grade school or middle school grades work, but in high school, we had six classes a day, our 4 basic classes: math, english, history, science, and then two elected classes, and lunch. Grades range like this: 100+-90 A, 89-80 B, 79-70 C, 69-60 D, 59-0 F. Though it can differ depending on where you move to. I just moved to the southern U.S. and their grades work differently than that.

Preschool-4 years old

Elementary-Kindergarten-5th Grade (5-10)

Middle School (Junior High)-6th Grade-8th Grade(11-13)

High School-9th Grade-12th Grade(14-17)

Well, first kids that are four go to Preschool or Nursery School

Then, 5 year olds are in kindergarten

Ages 6 to 10 go to elementary school, which is grades 1-5 (sometimes 11 year olds go to 6th grade at an elementary school)

11-13 year olds go to Junior High (or Middle School), which is grades 6-8

Last, 14-17 year olds go to High School (the grades are called Freshman, Sophemore, Junior and Senior) before applying to college

13 grades, kindergarten through 12th, there is pre-school (before kindergarten) for at risk children which is mostly minority and low socioeconomic, kindergarten through 5th grade is usually elementary (depending on the state elementary may go up to 6th grade), 6th grade through 8th grade is middle school and high school is 9th through 12th grade.
