do i need to do 12th grade or college before entering an australian university?
I live in grenada an island in the caribbean. I will be graduating from secondary school (high school) in june’08 and i would like to go to school in australia. I wish to study architecture in Melborne University. My question is, what steps do i need to take in order to enter the university. Do i need to do college or 12th grade? and if so do you know of any pre university schools that i can attened with dorms in australia?

Generally if you completed your final year of high school in your home country that will be enough to enter uni in Australia. However courses and universities sometimes have different requirements, so the best thing would be to email Melbourne University (Student Services or Architecture Department or International Student Office) and ask them for assistance. In addition you should contact VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) at www.vtac.edu.au. Also useful might be : http://www.highered.vic.gov.au/students
