Do French universities generally have spring breaks?

I will be in Lille, France from January 2008 to June 2008 at the L’Institut d’ Politiques for a study abroad program. I’m wondering if it is typical of French Universities to give their students a spring break and if so when it generally is.

thanks 🙂

I don’t know about a spring break, but i do know that during the month of August French people kinda take it easy and companies let people off work. So, if you’re working during the summer you can look forward to that.

in many cases faculties and universities take 2 weeks off in February, by way of fact each and all the French pass snowboarding this month, and Easter is likewise a huge trip time. generally, there is not any “Spring smash” in France like all of us comprehend it in the States.
