Which is the best SAT (Reasoning) Study/Prep Book?

Hey Guys,

I am retaking the SAT in about a month and am looking for a good SAT study/prep book.

I have found these titles:

CollegeBoard: The Official SAT Study Guide

Princeton Review: Cracking the SAT, 2008 Edition

Barron’s: How to Prepare for the SAT: 2007

Kaplan: SAT, 2007 Edition

Which one is the best? Thanks.

alrite if u get the princeton one, I’ll scan u the college board one xD. Collegeboard one was ok in a way, but princeton gives u strategies and tricks to make solving math and english problems easier. princeton teaches u how to elminate stupid answers and have a better chance of getting the right annswer Collegeboard just tells u the standard way.

All Princeton, Barron and Kaplan probably gives u strategies on how to eliminate and find ezier ways to solve problems. They’re practice test companies.

hell yes. SAT math is REALLY easy, so a simple 650 should be no sweat, even without studying. The hard part comes with the critical reading. I would recommend spending 50% of your time on critical reading, with an emphasis on reading about techniques and the format of the questions. 25% on vocabulary, and another 25% on grammar. I got a 1900 on my first try, and that was when i was twelve. I think you should do OK.

Collegeboard is the best one and taking the tests from it is just as if u r taking the real SAT.

And the test maker’s approaches are very neatly explained and the replay given at the end of each lesson is very good.

It would be more effective if u go for online course from collegeboard.com.

My second preference would be KAPLAN. Very informative

From my experience, the best preparation books were princeton review guide, and the tutorfox new sat guide. Used together, I increased my SAT score by about 200 points. Good luck, and please let me know if you have any more questions.
