What’s so good about Stuyvesant High School?
So I’ve heard about it.. and yeah, i wanna attend the school, but what makes this school so prestigious, and why is it so famous..?
is it hard to get in and from what grade shud u start studying (7th or 8th)

no, they dont look at your grades in seventh, and you dont apply in seventh. you apply in 8th grade, and its good to start studying starting from seventh grade, thats what i did. and i got into bronx science. stuyvesant has the highest cutoff score, then bronx, then tech, lehman, etc. its good because the graduation average is high, the kids get good grades and they actually care about learnning, etc.

Stuy has the highest SHSAT cutoff. Bronx Science or Brooklyn Tech are also pretty tough to get in (especially Science). QHSS, Staten Island Tech, and HSMSE are a lot easier so you could aim for one of them instead.
Honestly all of my friends there have been brought up since they can remember trying to get into it, most of the kids there have always known they would go to a specialised HS, so you need to study starting today if you want any chance of getting in!

are you dump or what , stuy are the best hs in nyc , you take the test during 8 grades, most people study during 6 grade all the way to 8 grade.

its special b/c it has exellent teachers, and exellent students. as for the studying part, it all happens in 7th grade. they only look at ur grades from 7th and u apply in 7th.
