The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test is a brief test of verbal and mathematics ability. It is used to pair adults with jobs that are appropriate for their skill level. The developers of the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test have collaborated with the US Department of Labor to determine the level of verbal and math ability that is advantageous to individuals in every job. In addition, the test developers work with private businesses to establish skill criteria for potential employees. For each position listed in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, there is a minimum amount of verbal and math ability that is required.
