The GMAT is specifically designed for MBA and other business related degree programs. The main difference I found was the data sufficiency part of the test. The GMAT is given in 5 or 6 sections ( I have forgotten just which). One section is not calculated into the final scoring and is used as a BETA test for future GMATs. The math portion(s) are not extremely difficult but they do cover a lot of algebra, geometry and a small amount of calculus.
From those I have talked to, the GMAT is by far the most difficult test of all, including the LSATs GREs and MATs, proving once again, it’s not easy being green.
Best of luck with your choice and welcome to the world of lifetime learners.
