Barren’s is one of the hardest, you should the College stat one, a blue one. Get anything but Kaplan, they have be found to have mistakes in the book.

Well, I’ve done the Baron book, at least the reading and writing sections, and I’ve found it to be useful. Pretty corny in some of the reading sections, but very useful for the writing. My writing score went up from about 540 to 750. It’s that good.
I now have the Kaplan book, since I’m taking PSATs in about 3 weeks and I need some new preparation. My friend says the Kaplan book is also really good.

My opinion is that you should visit your local library and sign out a few books and CD-Roms. Give yourself a sample test and see what you need to do to improve your score.
If you can’t figure out why you missed a question, make sure one of the books you get explains why the incorrect answers are wrong.
Some students find out that they need a lot of work in one area or another. If you see things on the test that you were not taught in school, make sure you get a review book with a very thick review section rather than a book that has mostly sample test.
