It really depends on the school but maybe somewhere between a 3.3-3.35.

84 is to 100 as X is to 4.0

84/100 = X/4

84 times 4 equals 336, divide that by 100 and you get 3.36.

So, an 84 average would be a 3.36 on the 4.0 scale.
