Add the two equations.

3x + 2y = 14

3x – 2y = 10

—————-

6x = 24

x = 4.

Substitute 4 for x in either equation & solve for y.

3(4) + 2y = 14

2y = 14 – 12

2y = 2

y = 1.

hey Pippy, Vect replaced the final equation in situation 2 from x+5y+2=-9 to x + 5y + 2z = – 9 i’m specific he’s right (that is why he’s great type one) , yet you should be extra careful in coming into issues.
