Is My GPA Good Enough???
Umm…This is quite weird question, but I’ve always wanted to go to UCONN to become an RN. Right now I’m a freshman and on my report card it says my GPA is a 3.33. Is that good?

A 3.3 is pretty good. If your a freshman in high school you still have time to get to a 4.0, so you should certainly keep working hard. Make sure you get involved. The more things you were involved in during high school the more you stand out to college recruiters.

The link below is the UCONN’s school of nursing and tells the requirements. It doesn’t specifically mention GPA, but it says you should be at the top of your graduating class and should take some challenging courses. You can’t have a 4.0 with a bunch of pottery classes (no offense to potters). Read through it and tackle high school with this stuff in mind. Good luck. And good for you:)

That GPA is probably higher than the average, but I would certainly strive to have the highest GPA you can attain. If you’re only a freshman, you’ll have several years to bring it up. Remember, colleges look at more than just your GPA; however, since they are competitive, your GPA will matter somewhat.

Good? Naw, that’s great. The GPA required for most schools is only 2.5. So that’s really good.

its not bad, but the higher the GPA the better your chances. you’re a freshman, you’ve still got time. keep building it up. good luck!

thats pretty good, but if youre a freshman you still have time to raise it up and in HS its not THAT good, so you should be close to a 4

yes, but it also depends if you go to a good school or a crappy one. a 4.0 at a bad school is equivilent to a 3.0 at a good one.

absolutely. thats great. if you can get it to 3.5 that would be even better but 3.33 is excellent!
