CNA sTaTe eXaM.. hElP!?

Okay so I have to take the skills part of the cna state exam and I was just wondering from all of you people out there who have taken it…what kind of skills did they ask you to perform. I figure if I get some examples of what they might ask, I would be less stressed out right now!!!!

You need to know how to make up a bed hospital style

Know how to transport PT.to a wheel chain.

How to give bed bath. How to take blood pressure and temp.Pulse. dress pt.and most of all how to clean up B.M.

vomit, give bedpan. without getting sick yourself.Be kind to all pt.respect them at all times.know how to feed them .

If you can do all this well. You’ll do o.k. on your test.

Good Pt.care is your reward.make them happy and Pray for them.and yourself too.and believe me you will get stressed out.

But you’ll learn to love the personal care and love you can give.and get back in return. that all I know.It passed it,and so will you. GOD BLESS YOU !!!!!

I was asked to transfer a patient with left side weakness (from a stroke) from the bed to the wheelchair. Others in my class had to do occupied bed changes, etc. You can bet they won’t ask you to do peri care, unless they have a mannequin in the bed
