I interviewed for a teaching assistant position for children with disabilities….?
I recently finished school and got my B.S in Sport Management. Would that make a difference in salary? And what is the going salary for Teaching Assistants? I do plan on getting the proper things to be a teacher I just need a start!!!!

This is a good foot in the door until you have your full teaching credentials. Unfortunately, I do not think schools take degrees into account when paying assistants…I think it is a pretty flat rate and not much at all. But…it will give you some exposure to the job and help you to make a decision. There are some great opportunities in adaptive P.E. for someone with your degree once you get your teaching certificate. I have a friend who does that and loves it. He travels from school to school and works with kids in wheelchairs, etc.

Well you should deffintally be intilted to a higher salary then a person who does not have their B.S..
