How long before the GRE test should I start studying?

I’d like to go back to school for my masters, and I’ve got a GRE study guide, but I don’t know how far ahead to start.

How about 16 years? Everything you have done scholastically has led up to this, so the sooner you start, the better.

Depends on how good you are at english and math really. The word list you have to know is ridiculously long but if you’re a great reader (of books and stuff) you’ll know more than half already. Say 5-6 months if you’re only going to study a ‘few’ days per week. But less if you’re a consistent worker.

Test yourself. That’ll tell you how much work you need to put in. If things look really bad, start now! lol. Good luck! : )

The more hours you put into the GRE, the better your grade.

Four years is a good period to study. To bone up on stuff, try about 6 months of reading good literature with a hard vocabulary, and studying high school math books.
