I do recommend taking tests from a larger variety of subject areas, however. It’s fine to take two science tests, but on a future date or the same date, venture into other subject areas like history, english, and mathematics. I took two science subject tests, physics and chemistry, and I also took the U.S. history, literature, and math level 2 tests.
The test does not really focus on any particular area. It asks you all around. You needed to gave done experiments, seen chemicals and understand underlying principles to have a shot at a 700+. I suggest taking a couple of practice tests and then deciding if you want to take the test or not. (no calculator is a bummer).
Math, Science, History, Literature, Foreign Language
Colleges will require 2 or 3 tests from 2 or 3 different areas.
