I’ve never heard of a 740, the lowest score is 600. So its honestly not a good score But that doesn’t mean you can’t take it again.I say you take one of those SAT Prep Courses at Slyvan or Kaplan. It helped me raise my score a lot. If not, you can always get a Barron’s or College Board book and study from it. Pick a day like a Sunday, and take a different test every week. But before you start doing that,spend a few weeks going though the reviews the books have on critical reading, math, and writing skills. If your a junior you have plently of time toraise your score but don’t procrastinate. Do it as soon as possible. If your a senior you can still sign up this week to take the SAT and ACT in December. If your scores still seem bad you can always startof a community college for two years, keep your grades strong, and travel to a university. A 740may not be great, but it doesn’t mean you can do what you set your mind to. Good luck.
