For a school called ISA how many AP classes should i take??? (It’s a highschool)?

Do you have to like make all A’s or something in Middle school to take AP classes in Highschool or is it your choice?? Or do you have to take a test to take AP classes? What’s best for your education in the future??

First off, you probably won’t be doing any AP classes as a freshman. The are a few rare exceptions to the rule. Your school, ISA, is probably the only source that can tell you when you can start doing AP classes and then tell you how to go about getting into an AP class. Your school might have restricted AP courses to juniors and seniors, although usually sophomores might be able to take a couple, like World History.

In my high school, teachers would have to recommend you for an AP class. It is easy to get a recommendation if you have gotten an A or a B+ in an honors class (like you can easily get recommended for AP English if you get an A or a B+ in honors English). For some of the subjects, people had to submit essays to prove that they were capable of doing AP level work. Some subjects required two teacher recommendations (like, Physics and Chemistry might need a recommendation from a science teacher and a math teacher, and social studies might require a recommendation from a English teacher and a Social Studies teacher).

It matters the school. Some let even freshman take AP classes. Colleges want to see a rigourous schedule so take as many as you can. I took two as a sophmore, four as a junior, and now seven as a senior (that is a little too much). I recomend to take the easier ones first like AP US History, Human Geographies, Phycology, and subjects that you are good in. I am pretty sure you dont have to make straight A’s in middle school to take AP classes.

yes , you need good grades in junior high to get into AP in your senior high. ask your teacher bout the standards you need to maintain to get into AP. there is no AP entrance test. and if your marks are good, you can choose if you want to get into AP or not.

Also, AP will get you extra credit during your college education !

More questions ask me,

i too had to do research on this stuff a few months ago. !!

Thanks
