Do you necessarily need to take the SAT Junior year?

But if you are trying to get into a U or an Ivy League, I suggest you prepare and take it this fall. You will only have this one shot before college applications. Good Luck!
And for not taking it at all. I do not recommend this course of action. It could save you from alot of frustrations in the future. Even if your school does not require a SAT. It will be beneficial later in your life. What is a few hours of your life sacraficed gonna hurt? Say you have a change of profession in mind…or even the school is not working out, and you want to change to a university…chances are at that point you wont get in. Maybe your prior school credits wont transfer well a SAT will give you placement rights. Also with a high enough SAT score comes alot of academic respect. If you have a high gpa chances are you have good study habbits and will do well. Which is great! but if you have a low gpa it’s even better because with a low gpa and a good SAT score things wont look so bad on your transcript will it?
Up to you entirely of course!
You can take it senior year if you want to.
I would look into what school you want to go to, see what they require in terms of acceptance and see if taking it is worth your while. My friends went to Fullsail in Orlando, Florida for Computer Animation and didn’t have to take their SAT’s for acceptance. I personally wouldn’t take it if you didn’t have to.
