Do I NEED Physics to become a firefighter?

But like the person up there said, get your EMT first, and then start testing for local departments. It’s kinda a good idea to get onto a smaller, part time department while you finish up any schooling you want to do before you test for large departments…
Most Fire Departments send you for the training.
Also you go through their simulated burning building and have to learn to scale a building. Also their is a question and answer period to see if you have good people skills.
To find out if their is a position open at your Fire Dept., call City hall and find out who your councilman is for your district.
He can tell you if and when the Fire Dept will be hiring and all the rest of the information that you need. The Fire Deptartment is paid through the city and some pull with a local councilman can help.
As far as Physics is concerned. Study it if you want but it is not necessary.
Good Luck.
