Did i do okay???

I’m a first semester nursing student. I took my first exam recently which was 75 questions and all multiple choice. I got an 83.33% on the exam. Is this a pretty good grade for a nursing student? I studied my butt off.

Well that depends on the program really. I just finished my RN year in nursing school, I went into the program being an A-B student and went through the program averaging a C all the way through. Don’t fret about it. Just try to keep your grade above the fail rate and have a bit of a cushion when it comes down to the last few exams. If your program is like ours was, you had to have a 76.0% overall grade to pass (no rounding, 75.9% was a fail). They pretty much based your grade off of exams only, no clinical papers, days, reports, assessments or anything else counted. Just exams, a pop quiz here and there, and if you were lucky an article critque for a whole 5 points. You definently need to shoot for at least 85% on the next few tests. Keep studying, the first few semesters of nursing school lay down the basics, you HAVE TO UNDERSTAND the basics, it is the groundwork, trust me it gets harder and if you don’t know your basics you are screwed. GOOD LUCK.
