Can you take the SATs again if you do poorly?

If so, how soon after the first test?

Ashleigh, you can retake the SAT as many times as you want, with no specified time between tests.

If you didn’t feel so hot or were just having a brain-free day, resulting in a low score, re-take it as soon as possible.

However, if you just didn’t do as well as you expected to, take a course aimed at raising the score, or spend time daily going over test review books or the textbook for any area that’s your particular weakness (maybe math?), until you feel you’ve learned a lot. The schedule a retest.

Yes, as soon as you’d like. I would suggest taking an SAT prep course first though.

Of course. An SAT prep course would be recommended though.

You can, but don’t worry. I know excactly what you are going through, but trust me, you cannot do badly. SAT’s DO NOTaffect your future, it’s GCSE’s and A levels and As levels that they look at. Relax. I know it’s a bit harsh when you put in all that work, but chill. I know what you are going through

You can take it as many times as you like as soon as you like. And, colleges will take the best of all your subscores. So, say you do better on the critical reading and writing but worse on the math, they will use your better math scores and your better critical reading and writing scores.
