What are supplies that a teacher needs for a classroom?

1) a blackboard & chalk or whiteboard & markers
2) paper, lined & not, lots
3) crayons, pencils, pens, colored pencils, markers
4) glue, scissors
5) buckets to hold things like above supplies
6) file folders to hold student papers
7) a lockable file cabinet for your papers & files & (purse)
8) 9×12′ manila envelopes, to send notes home to parents
9) stickers or little toys, for rewards for things or to put on good-nots home to families
10) a computer, at least for you
11) assorted books for the students to read & check out
12) a book shelf, for those books
13) one comfy chair, for quiet reading away from the group
14) one nice rug or scrap, for floor work & games
15) plastic manipulables, for Math
16) index cards, to keep student’s home info & grades & other info on, and to make flash cards
17) old magazines, for art work & to make vocabulary flash cards
Also, since individual students use the Kleenex in the teacher’s classroom, it is NOT unreasonable to ask students to supply one box of Kleenex for everyone’s use throughout the school year. Otherwise, the teacher will also pay for Kleenex out of pocket — or have a bunch of sniffling kids on his/her hands. I know I’m certainly grateful that all parents are NOT like eharrah!!!
