I guess that is part of “new” generation, when I worked at a factory, we would stop for a moment of silence at the time the planes hit for each anniversary to remember those lost.

Same here, we always had a big memorial but today most everyone wore red/white and blue or black but not one word out of the administration!

from what i read on here and the kids i work with at my job nobodys school did anything special

yeah neither did my school, i personally thnk we should have a day off for sept. 11th. today brought back terrible memories and it was one of the worst days ever. my class was supposed to have a moment of silence but then my hr teacher was like “we dont have enough time, we have to work…i was like wtf”. this was the worst day in a long time for me and i know 2 other people who said today was a bad day too. i say new yorkers should have school off

No. Some organizations have done particular remembrances, but it isn’t all that common.
