Since it is a poem you are dealing with you may want to examine style , diction ,imagery…
then is it like the other poems and why/why not in relation to the context you already mentioned and write in about language techniques
then i would write more about the effectiveness of these and the mood of the poem and go back to the context – with quotations.
then write about the authors personal life if u can and generally see where u go.
Well your introduction should have a catchy opening sentence, provide information such as the poet’s name and the name of the poem you are analysing. The last few sentences of the introduction should contain a thesis statement: that is, an argument or point of view you are trying to convey. In total, your intro. doesn’t have to be long—perhaps 5-6 sentences in total.
You could mention the style it is written in and later in the essay whether this style suits the subject.
Could also say why you think it is a subject lending itself to the poetic form or otherwise.
Lots of choices…..but I would keep the intro short.
This poem,”daffodils”, is by william wordsworth and it tells us about the poet’s keen observation. It also tells us how the poet recollects the sight of the daffodils to lighten his mood.
