6 for math- college algebra or higher

6 for science- A Bio class and either a Fundamental Chem or elective

6 for English- Usually composition

3 for speech- Any speech class

6 for humanities

These are just basic general education requirements needed for graduation. The actual number of required classes per subject area will be based on your Major.

A lot depends on what major you want to go into. If you are choosing a major like engineering then you must have at least College Physics and Calculus which would be 4 yrs at least.

If you are going for a major like business then 2 yrs is enough as long as you have taken some geometry, trigonometry, and algebra. And 2 yrs of science is ok.

As for social sciences and English, almost every state has requirements that more than cover for what you need for any major in college.
