Find a topic that challenges your mind, so that when your teacher fries his or her Sunday afternoon marking this stuff that he or she won’t get bored out of his or her skull.

I liked quote #18 because it says exactly what the book is about…there aren’t any “beasts” to be afraid of on the island except for the beast within the children left to their own devices. “‘[F]ear can’t hurt you any more than a dream. There aren’t any beasts to be afraid of on this island….Serve you right if something did get you, you useless lot of cry-babies!” Chapter 5, pg. 75
