A reflective comment is a comment that reviews how something makes you feel. You are reflecting on a certain part or aspect of the book. Your teacher is asking you for you to relate to the book or express how it impacted you.

For example:

“The events that happen to Jenn in the 12th chapter made a tremendous impression on me. I felt that the author did an excellent job of relating the characters emotions to those that the reader might be experiencing. I certainly felt that I could share the sorrow she was experiencing. This is a remarkable trait that the author displays throughout the novel.”

Best of Luck! 🙂

A comment with some thought in it. Not just “I liked the book, it was good.” Think about it this way: when you post a question on Y!A some people respond with one or two word responses (non-reflective) and some people will take the time out to actually write you a reflective, thought-out answer. Reflective means prove that you read it, while also answering the questions asked of you.

It’s a comment that you have given a lot of thought to. After writing a book it’s the comment on your experience of writing the book.

This means u need to add a comment with some thoughts of your own about the book, your own interpretation in few words.

it means that you should make a commentary that is thoughtful and critical.

here’s an example:
