on myspace someone has a quote that says “spoon feeding teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.” what does this mean? i like the quote. would it be stupid for me to have it. im 15 and in high school. wont people think im dumb?

Sometimes it is better to learn things for ourselves and to reason things out, than to have someone “serve” the information or ideas to you.

‘Spoon feeding’ means to do something for a person, rather than let them do it themself. So basically the quote is saying you don’t learn anything of use by having other people do everything for you, you learn by doing things yourself. If you agree with that then I’m sure you could use the quote.
