If you are in a position where you are the boss of some people then that may cause your power to get to your head and kinda turn you into a bad evil and bossy person but there is always a boss above you that holds more power than you so you can’t make the rules for everythign so they kind of keep you in line.
Absolute power means nobody is the boss of you and you can do whatever the heck you want to and nobody can stop you so you may make bad decisions and stuff which leads to absolute corruption.

This quote makes the assertion that people when exposed to power lose themselves and become overwhelmed by the power. The higher the degree of power, the more likely one has become corrupt. The point is that a person with a low level of authority such as a policeman will be less corrupt than a say president who has control of a government. Thus, the essential argument is the higher the spectrum of authority, the greater the probability that one will become corrupted or evil.

When given power, a person tends to think of ways to abuse that power. When given absolute power, that person will not hold back on abusing their power, because no one will fight them if the power is absolute.
