what does this mean?
But she might as well cut it’s head off.
umm what does the butterfly stand for?
well heres some more of the verse maybe it will help: She wears a butterfly on her wrist
But she might as well cut it’s head off
She’s holding out for weapons to kill the ghost inside
Or at least kill the thought she has of killing her mind
she says “I love you” with her hands, she says “I hate you” with her eyes
Theres a pretty girl somewhere, with a pretty name
But I could never let you know how much this means
I swear we’ll end this war, cause we both know
It wasn’t worth fighting for

The person who is saying to the girl, with the butterfly on her wrist this, must have had some horrible experience, to not believe in anything, like hope and faith and doesn’t want her to waste time in believe something he thinks (because of past experiences) to be true.
I think that the title, A cross and a girl named blessed, means that he thinks that this girl is blessed for having such faith even though he believe its to be a waste of time and not true, he sounds to be a bit jealous that she hadn’t experienced things like this that make her believe its all good for nothing because deep down inside he really dose want to believe that everything will be okay, -everyone needs to believe in something have at least a small bit of hope.
although she has faith/hope, she still has a nagging feeling inside of her that she doesn’t want to believe, that its a waste of time, she wants to kill that feeling.
she says i Love you with her hands, she acts friendly to others, because in certain situations you have to, she wants to be a good person, ‘but she says “i hate you” with her eyes’ she inside although she doesn’t say it/act it she really has people that she hates, thinks are wrong. she doesn’t voice the way she feels about them, she is full of hope, looking for the best in people, although sometimes she sees the worst.
the guys is saying that somewhere out there is a pretty girl, maybe physical, maybe even emotional, (acts though kindness to all, even when she feels hate towards them) she has a pretty name (blessed/maybe ‘the perfect girl’)
it means so much, he could never be able to say how much it means to have someone like her, someone who would act through kindness to people who don’t deserve it.)
he says that all the hate will end, because it isn’t worth all that’s being lost. that people should try to act like her, give another Chance to others even when they are wrong and hated.
I very much doubt that is what this means, sometimes theirs a deeper meaning there that the particular artist had in mind, combining ideas that he thought reflected upon each other painting a picture of the combinations of emotions felt, (usually only they actually know)
other times, its just there, they don’t have reason for the lyrics they were simply put their to follow suit to the rest of the song, flow, and keep in beat with the melody.
Thats what i think it means to me,
Hope I’ve Helped!~
:]
okay, imagine that she and her friend got into a fight and the other one gives up. that one is envious about the girl who won.every time that they meet, they seem as thy’re still the best of friends but are enemies inside. this ‘war’ is their argument that is not that important.
hope that helped!!
