Its interesting because if we dont have education how can we have organized religion. How much education is going to be given up? Will people be able to communicate if parents have to give up teaching their kids communication? Obviously he treasured his religious beliefs, me however, i think that if we gave up religion we would have much less killing in the world because there would be no holy wars, no shiites and muslims killing each other(sorry if that is spelled wrong!). On the other hand though we might have more wars because people may not think about the consequences of their actions……its a complex topic i think.

I don’t agree at all.

I suggest that we ought to dig up ole William Jennings Bryan and give him a good talking to.

Religion leads people toward stagnation while education is the bringer of progress. Choose to gain in knowledge above all for yourself and your children.

I do not agree with it at all. In order to follow religion you have to read about it and learn about it…therefore educating yourself about it. Even when you are teaching your children about your religion to keep it going you are educating them. You can’t have religion without education. The world would be horrible if no one had an education.

Considering the fact that Government runs the education system the quote is correct.

I agree with this quote, because if you didn’t already know this.. religion used to be (and for some, still is) education. That’s why there are catholic, jewish etc schools. Also, back when missionaries came to countries, the church was the education.

i think that is a good quote seeing as religion gives people hope and motivation where as education makes people kinda sad and feel stupid sometimes when they see others doing better than they are
