Jesus, being full of wisdom, knew what people were thinking. You can also figure that out yourself. If you watch mannerisms and eye movements with facial expressions, you can pretty much tell what is in a person’s mind and if you do it long enough, you can get good at it. That doesn’t make you something like a ‘medium’, it is just simple facts of nature. Jesus knew the people he was dealing with and what is referenced to as ‘heart’ means the inner man, or who you are on the inside. Another scripture states “Its not what comes out of a man that makes him bad, its what’s on the inside that makes him bad.” In other words, its the nature of a man that will make him either a good person or a bad person, and usually when your nature is bad, you also speak and act bad as well. I hope that helps.

Jesus had an inate understanding of psycology. He knew that people carried guilt around, and he used that knowledge to perpetuate his crazy notion that he was God’s son. And, before you dismiss me as an athiest with nothing good to say, let me ask you something….how would you treat someone that told you he was God’s son? Would you laugh? I know I would. And yet, here is this guy running around claiming to be the son of God. No wonder they crucified him…what a nutcase.
