SAT preping?
Does SAT prep at “big name” companines such as kaplan or princeton review really work. I cant afford it for myself and everyone I know takes those courses except me and I was wondering what do they teach at these courses that helps students achieve high scores? My current approach now is to borrow free library books at my library since I cant afford these courses. What is the best way to study SAT words? I tried studying 10 words then 5 each additional day while memorizing the words I studied from the night before but I just cant remeber the words anymore.

they teach how to guess and stupid stuff like that. waste of money if you ask me.
dont memorize words. there is no guarantee that those words will ever appear on the SAT. what you should do is learn latin bases to help understand the words that appear on the test.

In order to grasp whether or not or now not you also have a risk, I want your prime institution grades, extracurricular events/achievements, SAT/SAT two rankings and ACT rankings. Evidently, you are now not in prime institution but so wait until you are to your Junior yr of prime institution.
